With Justin Young (formally known as Jay Jay Pistolet) and Freddie Cowan (younger brother of Tom from The Horrors) in the band, you just know that this album is going to be a hit. Musically, they’ve been compared to The Jesus and Mary Chain, the Ramones, and The Strokes. However, the band described their influences has 50s rock ‘n’ roll, 60s garage and girl groups, and 70s punk. Which is all good, if you ask me. The Vaccines just gave indie-rock a breath of fresh air.
