Presenting David Comes to Life, the (nearly) 80 minute, 18-track rock opera. That’s how people should really introduce this album. I mean, wow. The collection of songs are about love, but once it’s mixed in with Damian “Pink Eyes” Abraham’s aggressive growl, you get this little gem. Backing vocals by Cults’ Madeline Follin and singer-songwriter Jennifer Castle are surprising to hear on this album, but it’s simply to keep the storyline going. The idea of it all is hard to grasp. It’s a complicated album, that’s for sure, but it’s also one of the best rock albums in a long time.
